JAN KOLATA

Jan Kolata wurde 1949 in Immenstadt geboren. Er wuchs in Düsseldorf auf, studierte 1969/70 Archäologie in Bonn und von 1970 bis 1977 an der Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. Ab 1975 Meisterschüler von Erich Reusch.

Professuren für Malerei, Technische Universität Dortmund (2006 – 2016); Shaanxi Normal University Wuhan, China (2010) und Art University, Chengdu, China (2012).

U.a. Norwegen-Stipendium d. Kultusministeriums NRW (1988), Villa-Romana-Gastatelier, Florenz (1991), Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris, Gastatelier (1994), Kunstpreis der Künstler, Kunstpalast Düsseldorf (2023), Johann–Georg–Grimm-Preis, DIE SÜDLICHE Oberallgäu (2024).
